About

Kim Honeycutt is a psychotherapist, trauma recovery consultant, and passionate advocate for emotional healing. Since founding her private practice in 2000, Kim has integrated a diverse range of therapeutic modalities and emotional practices, including Somatic Practices, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, neuroscience, body-centered techniques, trauma release work, and the wisdom of the Enneagram, to guide her clients toward greater self-awareness and healing.

Driven by a commitment to continued learning, Kim deepened her understanding of the Enneagram by studying under renowned expert Suzanne Stabile through an intensive cohort. While she is widely recognized for her work in the behavioral addiction field, Kim is equally devoted to empowering high-functioning codependents—particularly those navigating the complex narcissistic-codependent dynamic—to achieve true freedom and emotional liberation.

Recognized as one of the top psychotherapists in Charlotte by Charlotte Fitness Lifestyles, Kim has also been featured on television, National Public Radio, and in numerous magazines. Her speaking engagements span TEDx-Charlotte, corporate events, schools, churches, podcasts, and, most recently, as a speaking coach for TEDx Mint Street 2025.

Currently part of the teaching team at Watershed Church, Kim is also the founder and executive director of icuTalks, a mental health ministry. In 2020, Kim launched the Flip Your Lid podcast, available on iTunes, Spotify, and other platforms. Her book, But Your Mother Loves You: How to Overcome the Cycle of Toxic Love and Live Your Life Without Shame, is available through various retailers.
